Islas Ballestra are a group of small islands near the town of Paracas in the Pisco Province in the Inca Region on the south coast of Peru.
The island provide a wildlife sanctuary for marine fauna like the Blue-footed Booby, the Inca Tern, Humbolt Penguins, and fur seals and sea lions.
Every seven years, workers come onto the islands to collect the accumulated guano for processing into fertilizer.
